Apple has been very good to me during my short time with them. Their maintenance has always gotten back to me quickly, and I haven't had to pay them extra for any repairs. I rent a place on Ninth st. from them, and it's a good place to live, but my wife and I recently found out we were having a baby! All of a sudden, our single bedroom isn't going to be enough space! I do not recommend renting from Apple realty. Staff is unhelpful and disinterested. When our garage door broke it took us a whole year of constant nagging for them to eventually fix it. The house next to ours was broken into so this was actually a safety issue for us, but they couldn't care less. Of course, when the lease was up they promptly raised the rent (which was not cheap for that location or that house). I was ELECTROCUTED and they would not fix my wiring! I rented from Apple for several years, always paid my rent on time, kept the house clean and lawn mowed, etc.
Oh yeah, and when I said I was moving out, and they were upset because I had repainted a room, they shut off my water. Just up and turned it off 15 days before I was due to move out. AFTER, of course, they had collected my rent. disgusting.
I was ELECTROCUTED and they would not fix my wiring! And then they turn out to be the most threatening, negative, mean, disrespectful and uncaring slum lords I have ever encountered. For the first 2 months, they will treat you wonderfully. After that, good luck and good riddance. Apple rented us a crappy house in a terrible neighborhood, all the while smiling. We have had problems with constantly leaking plumbing, unsafe electricity, lead paint, a back deck that is not up to code, neighborhood break-ins and violence, a terribly inefficient heating system that leads to very high heating costs, little to no insulation, and an all-around terrible experience.
