today I took daughter and my mom to lunch. We used to go here all the time, we counted on the great chicken, so we went back and the chicken was served to us old and not the normal fresh fried chicken that they normally serve. The gravy on the mash potatoes was that white gross gravy we couldn’t eat it. And we had to wait over a half an hour for our dessert, then we had to wait again to pay for the food. Came in and ordered clam strips, one other couple in the restaurant. They came burn to a crisp!! Couldn't very well return them as I figured I didn't want to eat whatever came out after my complaint. We will not be back as this was our 2nd time eating their over priced disgusting food.
9 of us traveled some 45 hours 3065 miles from Westbrook Maine to Oregon for the much anticipated Eclipse. It's safe to say our time spent at the, "Apple Peddler" the food, the oldies playing, & then there was our waitress 'Karla" were all divine. Your waitress smelled bad and acted rude when we decided to leave cause nothing that was on the menu was available and we had also waited about half an hour to even be asked what we'd like for drinks, and we could smell our waitresse's arm pits from across the table. So we went to Shari's and ate good food and didn't put up with a gross attitude or smells, and the waitress there received a 20 dollar tip. There over priced for quality of their food. Bacon is soggy and super fatty. Don't plan on coming back if it's my choice. Our waiter was great though. Paying $2.49 for one soda is insane. $7.47 for three!!!
I always have good service and meals and friendly smiles!
It was busy, but I've worked in the food service industry and I am very patient when it comes to slower service, so that didn't bother me. What upset me was the fact that I had to send back my bacon, and I never got it back. So when I asked for a discount from the girl up front, she refused. I paid for the whole meal and didn't get a quarter of it. I used to love this place, now I probably won't be back. I was disappointed with the hostess. The staff people were super nice. They now have boasted chicken which we felt was super great. The only restaurant in our valley to have this. We definitely will be going back. Thanks apple peddler for feeling the pulse of the valley.
