Poor service towards potential customers – On Oct. 18th around 8:30 pm, the staff of this restaurant was highly discriminatory towards Asian and Asian Americans. Insisted they would not allow Asian to park ~ 25 feet away from the restaurant. Because we would not be the customers. One of staff even insulted us being Asian and I was threatened by his comment. I had to ask the police to intervene. If this is a great restaurant, this incidence should not and should NEVER OCCUR TO ANYONE
RUDE RUDE RUDE – We had reservations for a Saturday night at 8pm. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 10pm. Upon arrival, we were rudely told that the restaurant closed at 8. We explained that we had reservations and apologized that we were around 5 minutes late as our train had been delayed. We were told the “No one was here at 8, so we closed”. Best Italian -- convenient to Bryant Park – I've been dining here for ten plus years and have NEVER been disappointed -- business lunches and family dinners alike are always great. The food is teriffic with a great selection of daily specials. Prices are reasonable for a midtown Manhattan location. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
