In response to the negative post from Disappointed Debbie: I went out of my way from the original call to this customer's home to the the second and final quality inspection, even taking multiple phone calls on the weekend including Sunday evenings. The customer negotiated the price down from the original quote, not the other way around. The installers made a small mistake on the installation of the system which we went back and corrected without hesitation. No permit! I used this company and had trouble with the work done (poorly installed & cutting corners on paperwork). Come to find out Appel never pulled a permit as required by law for Marion county. We are waiting for the county inspector to finish work on the poorly installed equipment. If you use this company, be sure they cross their t's and dot their i's before you let them do the work or you might get fined! Do your research first! Not only did the sales rep, Scott Appel, charge us extra for his mistake (he told us we previously had a heat pump when we told him it was an air conditioner -- then when the techs were installing the equipment, we had to pay extra from what was contracted since our thermostat wouldn't work with a heat pump -- he didn't even know what kind of equipment he was looking at!
