I am extremely disappointed with my recent engineered hardwood purchase from Appalachian Flooring. It was supposed to be a premium quality floor; however, the quality of the flooring was appalling, riddled with an unacceptable number of knots, having, significant color variations and with tongue and groove joints very loose (a good quality product with tongue and groove would hold pieces together easily). Great product, I installed hickory hardwood flooring a few years ago and the floor has remained beautiful despite having 2 dogs. I was afraid they would scratch the floor, but this wood holds up well, and I am very satisfied.
