As the result of a colonoscopy gone bad in September 2011, I have a temporary ileostomy. Due to a recent job loss, Cobra had not kicked in when I was released from the hospital, therefore, I had no Home Health Care, or an Ostomy Nurse. My 75 yr old mom and I were left to our own devices to learn how to propertly apply the ostomy barrier wafer and bag.
