Biscuit had “non-healing ulcers” on her corneas, and my vet recommended that my little Shih Tzu see an ophthalmologist since her eyes weren’t improving. Apex was able to work us in on a Friday afternoon, which I so appreciated! Dr. Gearhart was extremely informative, kind, and thorough, and she took such great care of Biscuit. We went back for our recheck today and received a great report. I’m so thankful for the excellent care and highly recommend them!
All the doctors and support staff were attentive and friendly, and gave both of us great attention during all of our visits. Didn’t feel rushed or lost as to what or why he was getting the care he was prescribed.
I cannot say enough good things about Apex Opthalmology, particularly Dr. Tanja Nuhsbaum! My sweet kitty, Theo, needed to have a conjunctival graft after getting ulcers on his eyes. We were of course scared and worried, especially since he's an older guy and diabetic, but the team took such amazing care of us every step of the way. Highly recommend this office! I became concerned about a pigment in my cat’s eye and was able to get an appointment here the same week. Dr. Gearhart examined my cat and shared her concerns, and even followed up with me a couple of weeks later after discussing the case with her colleagues. She made sure to answer all of my questions, go over all of the options, and explained things in a way that made sense.
