Apex mechanic tried to scam me when I brought my car in for a service. He told me my Rego was due soon and my car needed new shocks and other repairs costing $1500 or it wouldn’t pass inspection. I had my car checked by our usual mobile mechanic - nothing of the kind. Then I get a text close to the Rego date telling me again it won’t pass inspection. Unbelievable! This was a SHAKEDOWN.
