I lived here for two years, and had a miserable experience. Multiple people were smoking marijuana and it was feeding through the vents to other units. Selwyn flats refused to do anything about this outside of sending a few apartment wide emails. When there was an issue I called multiple times to the office, left several emails, and even popped by the office but no one was there, or willing to respond. AVOID THIS PLACE. I don’t care if you will be without a home next month. You would be happier than living here. It not safe. Nothing works. And I mean nothing. Pool, down for a few years, both of them. Laundry unit. Never working. Trash? Disgusting. Management? Whats management? They don’t know. They rarely have management. I’ve lived here for 7 years. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! If only I can give negative stars! Today 8/23/2025 the complex woke up to over 10 cars broken into! We’ve had several break-ins in the last year alone. Some cars have been hit multiple times now! Property management has changed several times, can’t keep employees- no one lasts a year! The recent ones haven’t lasted 6 months! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! This place is a dump. The photos on the website have to be from community opening because the community looks NOTHING like the photos. Pools never been open in the two summers I’ve lived here. Roaches, leaks, peeling paint, abandoned cars, poorly maintained landscaping, and never anyone to report these things to. Do not rent here!!!!! First when I moved in last year, the apartments wasn’t ready all closet doors were broken, the tub was broken, nothing was fixed. I moved in and couldn’t even shower. Was told when I moved in the pool was supposed to be fixed before Memorial Day. Till this day the pool is not fixed or maintained. The maintenance here is non existent. They have a high turnover rate or fixed stuff half asked. My oven was broken till the day my lease ended. My apartment had a terrible roach problem as well as stink bugs. T... read more
