Disappointing experience. During the parents meeting, the person repeatedly emphasized that the program is for “gifted” students, but this is not clearly stated on their website. It felt like decisions were based more on subjective observations (such as behavior during testing) rather than giving a fair chance to experience an actual class. Expectations and criteria should be communicated more clearly upfront.

You should not be under the illusion that my child is doing well at AoPS. In reality, during class, students are often on their phones, chatting, or engaging in other off-task behaviors and the teachers pay absolutely no attention. There have even been times when my child came home having done nothing during class. When I brought this to the front desk’s attention, She was told that it’s “100% the student’s responsibility.” I wonder how many parents would still be willing to send their children here after hearing that. Highly not recommend here trusted this place, but it ended up being a complete waste of money and time. The staff does nothing to manage the students whether the kids study or not, no one seems to care. More and more families are leaving because of this.
