This used to be hands down my fav anytime club in all of DSM. But this summer it all changed. The management skimping on AC, adjusting it to 78 on a solid 90 degree day. Added to that, most folks I’ve noticed love dropping weights like they’re hot potatoes despite the notices from management requesting patrons to be mindful of the businesses downstairs. I joined the AF in Beaverdale in 2023 - originally as a 2 year contract. At the point I signed up, I knew that the Personal Trainer I had started with was leaving in a couple of months. Not a big deal since I was new to working out and just trying to get back into. After her departure, I started training with another PT there. Usually clean and well organized. This summer it has been swelteringly hot, especially during peak hours. They need better AC or more fans, especially on the east end by the free weights. 2025 Edit: this is still a major issue. It’s been ~68 degrees outside in the morning, and 75-77 inside the gym.

I’ve been going to this location for over 5 years now, the experience I’ve had here has been nothing short of exemplary. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the club is always spotless and they have all the equipment you would need if you are serious about getting in shape and staying in shape. 5/5 would recommend to both beginners and advanced weightlifters.
