I have never written a bad review about anyone in my life. Zero personal skills and doesn't spend enough time with the patient to even get to know what they want. Will order tests without considering the strain on the patient. Was too shocked and disappointed to say anything on my last visit. Never felt this bad personally after leaving an appointment.
Dr Shaw did a total shoulder replacement on my right shoulder Dec 1, 2020, which I had a previous surgery on before. After many years it began to give me a lot of pain and I couldn't lift my arm past a certain point. After the pain was too much, and cortisone shots were not helping, I finally decided to get it done. I have total movement just like it was before any injuries! Six years ago, my retired firefighter husband broke his leg (multiple breaks) in motorcycle crash. His chances of walking without assistance ever again were slim. Dr. Shah is an artist in the operating room; his team is practical, down to earth, and compassionate. It took hardware, sculpted bone and skill. Yesterday my husband mowed and edged our yard. Call Shah's PA (Ryan Teague) and get your referrals in order if you want your life back the way it was.
Dr. Shah is one of the worst Dr's I've been to. He basically blew me off & wouldn't do anything for me, including I wont give you anything for pain (in fact he complained about the government's new rules) and you should just go to a pain Dr. I decided to get another opinion (I have had 4 shoulder surgeries) my new Dr. took the time to explain everything, did exploratory surgery, as it turns out my shoulder was a mess inside and I AM a replacement candidate! my new Dr truly cares!
Dr. Shah, and his Physician's Assistant Ryan Teague were beyond fantastic. I came in unable to walk, and in extreme pain due to a torn meniscus, and they had me in surgery and on the road to recovery within a week. They were both extremely informative, and responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the process, and they really seemed to understand that it wasn't just about fixing the tear, but getting me back to all the activities I love.
