I went o Dr Kandel for colorectal cancer. He was very thorough, thoughtful and patient while I digested the diagnosis. The surgeries went well and I was very pleased with Dr Kandel and his staff.

Both my husband and myself required surgery (for different reasons, but the same type of surgery) within the last 6 months. I can't say how wonderful Dr. Kandel and his office staff were during these trying times. He is professional, kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We have both recovered from our surgeries with no complications. I would recommend him to anyone who needs the kind of services he provides 

His colleagues even think he’s great!

Dr. Kandel was fabulous from beginning to end. My husband had been having pain in his abdomen for a few years. We were told it was everything from kidney stones to prostate. Had CT and colonoscopy and still were misdiagnosed. One visit to Dr. Kandel and he knew exactly what it was. We knew my husband was going to need surgery to remove part of his colon but Covid hit and hospitals weren’t doing surgeries. Dr. Kandel gave antibiotics when he needed them. After receiving a positive cologuard test our primary care doctor requested he get a coloscopy. After researching on the internet we selected Dr. Kandel. Dr. Kandel besides being board certified and affialated with several hospitals he is caring and treats his patients as if they are family. I have been a patient of Dr. Kandel's for a while now and he and his staff are always so nice and courteous every time I see them. The office is always very clean, and is always run very efficiently. Dr. Kandel is always so helpful in explaining things to me so I fully understand and really cares about his patients. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kandel to anyone.

He seems very qualified but his office runs like a bunch of 3 year olds are doing it. How many times should a person have to fill out same fn paperwork in a week!!?? We still have fax machines and emails but I still have to do it every time. Yes, anesthesiologist need all info and yes it's a different building but dam already!!! Oh, and answer you fn phones or at least have an answering machine!!!!

Dr. Kandel is one of the best doctors I have had. Him and his staff are very knowledgeable and explain everything so you can understand everything they are telling you. I definitely recommend him for anyone needing a colon and rectal doctor.

Dr Kandel was recommended by my PCP. I did not go to his office but made the appointment through one of his employees. The procedure was done in Mansfield. Dr. Kandel came by my bed prior to the procedure, but I had to ask if he was Dr Kandel. He never would have introduced himself to me. All he said was “You’re the one who called me several times last night. I said “Two times.” That was it. His bedside skills were terrible. I considered him rude and condescending.
