RecommendedA little pricey, but the food is good. The atmosphere has endless potential for improvement and the wait staff (you order at the counter) is there sometimes.
RecommendedI haven’t lived in Newport since 1985. This past week, I went back home and took my wife, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law. On Thursday we went to lunch at Anthony’s. For dinner that week we had gone to the White horse Tavern, the Mooring, and the Black Pearl. However, my brother-in-law couldn’t stop talking about Anthony’s. He said he could have eaten their Portuguese fish chowder every day for every meal and been very, very happy. By the way, my brother-in-law has a James Beard award.

Almost cafeteria style. Clam cakes were chewy, doughy and gritty. Yuck!
