Anthony's Fish Grotto

4.5

About this business

A man-made lake provides refuge to wildlife and dozens of tame ducks, providing entertainment for the diners at this long-established San Diego seafood restaurant called the Anthony's Fish Grotto. It also makes the hour-long dinnertime wait much more pleasant for kids and adults alike. Seafood is the best bet here and the daily specials offer great value and delicious preparation. The Clam Chowder, from Anthony's matriarch Mamma Ghio, is renowned, a rich red broth liberally studded with tender clams.

I've been going to Anthony's since my Grandparents used to take me in the early 70's. I've been blessed to take my kids and hope to continue the tradition and take my grandchildren. There is no better seafood, especially "Momma's Clam Chowder. Let's remember our fond memories and not let Anthony's fade away. Order your lunch once a week & still do those Friday & Saturday Family Dinners at Anthony's, Take Out works, especially when it really makes a difference.
