He never told my mother she had advanced cancer. For over a year.
Wish I knew he was planning on retiring in a year. I just changed doctors because mine left. All about the money! See someone else unless you are only planning on seeing someone for less than a year.
Dr. Stephens is an outstanding and caring Oncologist.
Dr Stephens and his staff treated me with compassion and professionalism. He took time to answer my and my husband's questions and was proactive in diagnostic procedures and treatment. I was advised to call immediately if I had any problems or concerns. When I did call, I had very quick responses. I would highly recommend him.
One year ago today my mother died. She had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2009 and he was wonderful back then. She started seeing him again in 2018 for health issues. Long story short, he never ran a PET scan on my mother who he very well knew had a history of cancer. Had Mr.Stephens ordered the scan it might not of been too late when it was finally found. Compassionate. Concerned about how the disease is impacting the patient and her family. Listens. Efficient office staff. Clear explanations regarding chemo.
Kind, compassionate, takes the time to listen to me. Has gone above and beyond for me. I trust him. He speaks to me and treats me as a valuable person. He never talks down to me. Makes sure we both understand 9ne another.
Dr. Stephens is by far the most caring physician whom has provided care for my mom. He is very matter-of-fact about her diagnosis and treatment. She definitely has a say in all matters of her care. He not only takes care of my mom but also us, her caregivers. I cannot praise him enough for the care he has given our whole family. My mom has survived ovarian cancer for 8 years now and much of the credit goes to her and Dr. Stephens; what a team. We can never thank him enough.
Dr. Stephens is a caring man with a big heart, not to mention he knows his stuff and takes his time and explains things to you as a patient. I have never had a doctor that has been as caring, thoughtful, and listens as well as he does. So glad he became my doctor because he cares so much about my overall health.
