My wife has suffered from bipolar disease, depression, anxiety, ptsd along with numerous serious physical issues for many years. We saw several other psychiatrists over the years without satisfactory results. Fortunately, Dr Machi entered our lives and really took an interest, asked a lot of questions and took time to review her past treatments. He quickly recommended medications and supplements and started her on a course that HAS GREATLY IMPROVED OUR LIVES.We are truly appreciative to this kind man and can not offer a higher... read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Machi's for over 10 years and my relationship with him has enabled me to live a full, complete life, where I am strong and secure enough to navigate the path ahead knowing I am in control, making decisions that are thoughtful and that will lead to positive outcomes. His indomitable spirit and commitment to life-long learning creates a treatment approach that encourages active participation in my own care and leaves me feeling energized, hopeful and happy. I feel cared for and as though my issues ... read more

I have been Dr. Machi's patient for almost 20 years, and under his care I have managed my depression in ways I couldn't have imagined in the previous 25 years. Dr. Machi is a brain chemistry guy, not a talk therapist, and he's taught me to believe that antidepressants (and other medications) work. But it has to be the right meds in the right dosages. Long ago, a doctor told me that treating depression without medication was like bloodletting or leeches. Machi found thr right stuff at the right time for me, and my life has be... read more

I started seeing Dr. Machi more than ten years ago. I was severely anxious, depressed, and unmotivated. I had recently dropped out of college and had no ambitions for life. Dr. Machi always set me on the right course. The visits with him always guided me to find purpose for my life. Specifically I was prescribed Lithium, which kept me centered. With the assistance from Dr. Machi’s I was once again motivated. I ended up graduating from a top university in Texas and continued on to law school. I have had seen a variety of doct... read more

Another adoptive couple referred us to Dr. Machi after we had seen 4 different psychiatrists. Our adopted son struggles with Bipolar, ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorder and autism. Dr Machi is brilliant. None of our other psychiatrists had his caliber of knowledge and experience. Our son's behavior and sensitivity to medicines make him very difficult to treat. Dr. Machi has prescribed Lithium Carbonate and other mood stabilizers. Over the past 3 years he has patiently listened to our feedback to adjust our son's medications.... read more

My college age son saw this doctor several years ago for anxiety, depression, and OCD. He was constantly suggesting different medications and by the time it was all said and done, he had to drop a semester of college from being so doped up. He then suggested lithium and that's where we finally parted ways. Way too many trials of different meds that never really fixed the issues. Wouldn't recommend.

Dr. Machi has helped me so much. I went to him with after my first child and was finally diagnosed and treated for things I had struggled with for years! His helped saved my life, and helped me live so much happier. He is the best doctor you could ask for. Very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable.

Saw him for several years. Stopped seeing him after an extremely traumatic visit with him where he scrutinized my appearance, suggested I go on a number of medications unrelated to the issues I was having, and made me feel like I was worse off than I knew I actually was. Please spare yourself the trauma and seek help elsewhere.

I was a patient of Dr. Machi for about 7 -8 years and have never had physician invest so much attention and compassion towards my concerns. He is very transparent with his opinion and passionate when it comes to educating his patients on the way medication works as well as the reason for other recommendations he has to help achieve your medical goals. He has been nothing short of life changing for myself and my family.
