My experience with Dr Costa and all the Staff at his practice has been fantastic. My PT recommended him while treating me for hip pains. Dr Costa performed a total hip replacement on my right side in mid-April and the recovery has been so much better than I ever expected. He is the best.More pain before surgery than after.
I have been a patient of Dr. Costa’s since he opened his private practice. Although he was out of network with my insurance, I chose to continue seeing him because of the trust and respect I have for him as a physician. Dr. Costa performed my partial knee replacement and later helped address issues with my hip, with a hip replacement. The entire experience, every step of the way, was handled beautifully. Had a total hip replacement. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. I payed 4500$ up front for the procedure because my insurance company was balking at paying for it. Dr Costa's team pursued my insurance company long after the procedure was over and sent me a full insurance refund for the 4500$. Way to go Costa Orthopedics!
Dr. Costa came highly recommended, however I had a horrible experience with him. During my hip replacement, he cut my femoral artery. One week after surgery, I was hospitalized for internal bleeding. He didn’t even have the decency to check in on me while I was in the hospital. Then I spent 2 weeks in rehab learning how to walk again. He never acknowledged his error nor showed me any kindness or compassion for the suffering he caused. To date, 5 years later, I still have hip pain.
