I'm new to the Lakewood Ranch area and needed to develop a Doctor base, especially Cardiology. I moved from NJ and had complete confidence in my Cardiology group, so there was a certain amount of anxiety finding a new Doc. I saw Doctor Skidmore for the first time today and was thoroughly pleased with the time he spent getting to know me and my cardiac history. Every box you would check to recommend a doc would be checked when it comes to Doctor Skidmore, including bedside manor!!!
I had a heart attack , was in a coma and was given Dr. Skidmore. I did not choose him and am very dissatisfied with him and his unprofessional behavior. Due to the billing departments mis categorizing the charges as office visits when they were hospital visits , there were disputes over payment. Rather than argue with Dr. Skidmores very unprofessional staff , I paid the bill in full. They then advised me that they were dropping me as a patient. DO NOT go to Intercoastal , it is a terrible outfit
Dr Skidmore is very caring and considerate . He always takes the time to answer your questions and you never feel rushed. When he does a procedure he explains everything step by step and has a way of easing your anxieties. I highly recommend Dr Skidmore.
