I went to Dr. Benigno for an autism assessment as an adult, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly frustrating and invalidating. While he was personable during the testing and the office staff were kind, his ability to assess high-functioning adults, especially women, is lacking at best. I read, when I scheduled my appointment, that Anthony Benigno was certified to evaluate adults with ASD as well as children, but all the antiquated tests that I took for more than 3 hours were clearly designed for children. I'm honestly not confident that anyone at this shady insurance scam is able to diagnose many children either, except perhaps the most obvious cases that any mom could diagnose herself. When will the American healthcare system offer brain scans to diagnose people instead of quacks like this?
