Any other health insurance provider is a better choice. They have repeatedly lied to me about my coverage. Their phone support staff is completely incompetent, deceptive, and dishonest. You’re better off not having insurance than using Anthem Blue Cross Biue Shield. Insurance regulators should remove them from doing business.

They go through every loophole to get out of covering a service. You can do everything right and use their own "find care" site to find someone in-network, you can also confirm with one of their very own agents, and they STILL will find a reason to deny your claim. No matter how much research or work you put in ahead of time, you can still never be sure you will get covered and not a huge surprise bill. 0/10.

Coverage sucks. Member support sucks. Provider support sucks. And if you still decide to go with them, I will leave you with the word of advice - do your due-diligence about network coverage (they don’t make it easy) And good luck trying to even get a hold of an actual person (via phone or chat) for help. I hope you don’t have any plans that day as it will be spent being transferred dept to dept, grueling hold times, and yelling at a robot that does not understand the word “representative” or a press of the #0. I am going to one star every single Blue Cross Blue Shield building in America today because I called a year ago about quotes for pricing about health insurance. NEVER actually got health insurance through BCBS but yet they sold my number out to the point 99% of incoming calls to my number were spam calls and then following up a year later I have a $2,700 bill in the mail.
