Government workers are so useless and these folks are no different. Been living in another town since I purchased a home in 2020. Been receiving bills for the wrong town. Called DMV they said it is fixed, called Ansonia, they said it was not to call DMV. I’m not going through this all again when I just went through this last year. Since government workers can’t be bothered neither can I. I will pay the wrong town and let the two towns figure it out between them if they are capable. I have my doubts. Just got a call from TaxServ of a 2013 bill I made my auto purchase on 3/2014 and moved to another town. Paid my bill in full and now I have a collections bill with so many fees and was told by Ansonia Tax Collector “Oh Well you have to pay the bill. State can charge you a FULL year even if you lived in town for 1 day” This is LEGAL ROBBERY to the fullest. Needless to say I had to pay THOUSANDS instead of the $300 bill. Crazy and UNFAIR.
