My experience with Another Chance was extremely disappointing. I entered the program with a well-documented history of serious mental health challenges and was trying to rebuild stability through treatment, housing, and employment. Despite that, I was removed from housing in a manner that felt abrupt, poorly communicated, and completely disconnected from the realities of what that decision could mean for someone in my situation. Best program I've been in, staff extremely knowledgeable and friendly,great group community
Not a safe place for queer or trans people. They don't enforce their own handbook. Supposedly people are not allowed to wear political or divisive clothing, unless its a man wearing a Trump shirt (the shirt had 45 47 on it, colored in with an american flag). Also overheard men talking predatorily about another (female) patient. I reported the creepy men but if they did anything about it, I wouldn't know since no one called me the following day. Another Chance is hands down the best treatment center I have been to. I was on fetti and meth and had been homeless for years. The first day I got there they got me into a sober living house and made me feel welcome. All of the staff is great and they have a very high success rate. The way the program is set up is amazing and conducive to real recovery. Thank you for giving me my life back.
I felt heard and I just wasn't another addict to them. I was treated as an individual and super grateful fir the experience 🙏
