My experience with Another Chance was extremely disappointing. I entered the program with a well-documented history of serious mental health challenges and was trying to rebuild stability through treatment, housing, and employment. Despite that, I was removed from housing in a manner that felt abrupt, poorly communicated, and completely disconnected from the realities of what that decision could mean for someone in my situation. Not a safe place for queer or trans people. They don't enforce their own handbook. Supposedly people are not allowed to wear political or divisive clothing, unless its a man wearing a Trump shirt (the shirt had 45 47 on it, colored in with an american flag). Also overheard men talking predatorily about another (female) patient. I reported the creepy men but if they did anything about it, I wouldn't know since no one called me the following day.
