My friend and her husband had booked a room here for their anniversary. He passed away last month and after all the shock and dealing with that, she called to cancel the reservation and you wouldn't let her cancel, just 'reschedule' because it was less than 7 days out. Seriously!? He's NOT COMING BACK! Shame on you!! Do Better!!!
My husband and I have stayed at this location 4 times. Each time in a different room. The previous 3 times were great and we have a lot of fond memories of this place. Unfortunately with our last experience we will never be going back again. This place has really gone down hill. In January of this year we stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room. The carpet on the stairs had brown stains and was dirty. There were areas that seemed like they hadn’t been dusted or cleaned in awhile. The tub area and stairs did not have lights.... read more
Near the old Boise depot it’s in a great spot. Service was great even when we got there late. The room was alright, had some heating issues but I don’t think it’s typical haha.
The room themes were pretty unique and fun to look at, which definitely made for a memorable stay. I really enjoyed the free cider and cheesecake, those were great little touches. However, the place is starting to feel a bit worn down in some spots and could really use a deep cleaning and some updates to keep it feeling comfortable. It is okay for a quick night away but maybe not somewhere I would plan a long vacation.
I have no idea why this hotel exists but I am so glad it does. We stayed in a barn-themed room that was spacious, functional and immaculately prepared, in addition to being filled with taxidermy chickens, horse tack, a fake fire and a shower that poured from a windmill sluice. Breakfast was served at our door. The staff were terrific. Can’t wait to have a reason to return and try out another theme.
