Annie Moores Bar & Restaurant

About this business

In the entertainment wasteland surrounding Grand Central Terminal lies this pleasant Irish pub, which caters mostly to thirsty commuters. Other pubs may have more charisma and character, but nevertheless Annie Moore's pours a good pint. More importantly, there is very little risk of missing your Metro-North Railroad train to the suburbs; monitors in the bar flash the schedules. There is also a small restaurant area in back.

Best Breakfast & Lunch in mid-town!!!!! – Have been going to lunch here at least twice a week since I started working down the street last year. I can honestly say I have yet to get a bad meal in the place! They just started opening for breakfast last week, there is no where else I will ever eat breakfast out again!!!! Better quality and cheaper than any of the surrounding places.

only real irish bar in mid-town – I eat at this establishment at least once a week, the food is fresh and the service is wonderful. All the waitresses and bartenders are all authentic Irish and have great personalities. It is the only place with pub style food that I would eat in the area. Also has a great after work crowd and is right next to Grand Central Station.

Best Irish Pub in the area – I felt compelled to write a review of this establishment after just finishing reading the 2 below. I have been patronizing this establishment for over 10 years, since it opened. I have to say that most Irish pubs, even the ones that you can get a decent lunch in are hlt or miss. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal in this place. I have always found it clean and the staff, most of whom have been there since I started going there have been nothing but friendly and actually know most... read more

HORRIFICALLY RUDE!!!! TERRIBLE PLACE! – HORRIBLE - VERY RUDE manager/owner/bouncer (not sure what he was exactly - except a total moron)! A group of 5 of us went in for my birthday last night - 2 of us got drinks while the other 3 were still deciding. The manager(?) told my friend there was no cocktail service & we had to go to the bar for drinks (obviously!). We said "ok" but 30 seconds later he literally said "No loitering you have to leave" - we hadn't even been there 10 min and 2 of us already had drinks. We had just com... read more

Best american/pub food in midtown – I live in Manhattan and work close by this establishment. The food is consistently excellent, the place always clean, service is always outstanding. I eat lunch in here probably 3 times a week. After work, this place is great, nice crowd and friendly bartenders. I spend enough time in bars and restaurants in NYC to know which ones deserve praise and which ones do not. And beleive me, there are plenty of places in this city that are just awful. So, if your looking for a good meal or just a ... read more

Editorial Review – Authentic Irish pub serves classics like fish-and-chips, shepherd's pie, and corned beef and cabbage; private events available.

Shepards Pie that truly sticks to your ribs – Annie Moore's played host to me and my family. THey had tv's with football games onand even one tv with the train schedule. Nice touch! All the food looked good but the shepard's pie I had was excellent. It truly sticks to your ribs, great for a cold day.

Awesome wings – This place is clutch for a drink right before headin' out of town. Good selection of drinks (magners!) and delicious wings! I wish more came in the order!
