We love Dr. Grundmeier! She is very sweet and very diligent! Friendly office people and you can usually get in the day you call if your kid is sick. Shes great and genuinely interested in the well being of your kids.
The first pediatrician we chose did not examine our baby once while in the hospital after birth (3 days)-another physician from "the group" did see her. We thought that once in 3 days our pediatrician of choice would at have had the time to examine her. Her first well baby exam at the other office did not go well either; the pediatrician told me that I needed to start letting my daughter cry herself back to sleep. I have choosen Dr. Grundmeier as my childrens family doctor because she listens when I discuss the concerns I have with my children when they are ill. My daughter was recently diagnosed with a condition that needed emergency treatment and she personally made sure that when we arrived they were aware of the situation.
Dr. Grundmeier is thoughtful about diagnosis and does not make snap decisions. Her judgment has been very good over the ten years that shes provided care for our children. Over the years, she has noticed and correctly diagnosed problems that others doctors (including some at Childrens Mercy) have either overlooked or been unable to identify.
