I had the Jalapeno-Cheddar french toast from the brunch menu. It was very plain, with very few jalapenos and no cheddar cheese that I could taste. In San Antonio, if a dish has jalapenos, I expect some heat. The menu states that it is "dipped in special batter". The batter seemed to be a simple egg-milk mixture, nothing special, The coffee was luke warm and just average quality. Service was attentive.
The Carriage House Bistro is a part of the Botanical Garden... my fiance had planned on going through the garden, but we stopped in the Carriage House Bistro first to have lunch. IT WAS AMAZING!! I don't know why their website doesn't have more information on it and how good it is.
