Dr Hawthorne provided inadequate and unsafe care to me while she was my pcp resulting in multiple visits to ER (that advice RN directed me to) to get appropriate & safe care she refused to provide. In multiple cases the ER Dr. had to prescribe appropriate medications which Dr Hawthorne stated she felt “uncomfortable” prescribing that are routine medications given my health issues. I established care with this provider expecting a thorough and attentive experience, but the visit felt impersonal and largely checklist-driven. I did not feel that my concerns were meaningfully heard or explored. After the appointment, I completed lab work that included abnormal results. There was no follow-up for several days despite multiple attempts to reach out. Rushed thru appt & referred elsewhere. Didn’t examine the mass or order imaging. Stayed back with a mask on with her hand over her face like I was contagious or something.
