The Conservatory is a beautiful stop on Belle Isle, especially if you enjoy tropical plants and historic greenhouses. There is a nice variety of lush tropical vegetation, and it's a pleasant place to visit year-round. I've been here several times over the past decade. While it's always enjoyable, I haven't noticed many changes from visit to visit. Be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. Seems like a world away from downtown Detroit. Tropical and humid inside. Free to visit. The ground are beautifully manicured too, lots of folks taking wedding pictures or actually doing their weddings onsite. Dogs not allowed inside but they're okay outside.
Hosted a wedding here. Amazing!
