All details from televisits, my calls to the office, calls both returning my calls, & calling me for the Dr instead of her calling me in a crisis. She hung up on my 3/10 Televisit & again when she called me on the phone on 3/17. She's not been controlling by bipolar since 2/16 through 2/19 to flush out lithium toxicity

I would not recommend this provider. She does not take into account your thoughts and opinions about treatment. When I had a bad reaction to one of the dosage increase and called the office to speak to her, she would not return my call and instead wanted me to share with the front desk staff instead, which I was not comfortable sharing sensitive health information with. I have been seeing Dr. Mackender for over 15 years. The individualized and personal treatment is like no other provider I’ve ever had. This isn’t a “one size fits all” sort of treatment - and she has invested the time into getting to know me and truly cares during each and every appointment. I am a frustrating patient also - and I have NEVER felt any judgement from her. I would not have any other doctor manage my treatment plan. Ever.
