Dr. Sobel is a caring, compassionate, experienced professional and we are so fortunate to have her practicing in Watauga County.
Any physician who practices medicine in a very complicated specialty as an oncologist must realize that their patients will be “complicated” ones. Dr Sobol completely disregarded a rare medical condition that required a change from the book learned treatment protocol. There were precedent and successful surgeries for stepping away from the protocol due to a high risk of stroke due to a fairly rare preexisting medical condition.
