do not go! !!!!!!!!! instead go to seabrook ER 10 minutes away. this is the second time i’ve been to the ER at Anna Jacques and had an absolutely horrendous experience. i arrived with severe abdominal pain and nausea, and i waited in the waiting area for 2.5 hours to be seen. after 2.5 hours, i was taken to a bed in a hallway with no further communication. i asked the front desk if they knew about wait times and/or if they advised i should go somewhere else, and they were incredibly rude citing that “they can’t give me medic... read more

Came in for a more severe case of flu to ER. Needed an Xray and some stronger meds. The service by the staff was swift, efficient and helpful. The PA on shift, Hailey, was great at answering questions and being attentive to my concerns. From registration to discharge I appreciated the professionalism especially on Xmas eve.

Went there because of my sons mental health issues. Sat in the waiting room for a couple of hours then in the hallway of the ER for a few hours then a nurse hands him an iPad. It’s a doctor on the other end. They talk for about 10 minutes, ask the usual questions then hand it over to me and ask if I think he’s going to hurt himself. I said I don’t think so but I’m not trained. Professional when it comes to this. They release him and I get a bill for $3,000 for a 10 minute conversation on an iPad.

If you have a broken arm, heart attack or allergic reaction needing immediate attention, this ER can save your life. You won't have a good time and they will drag their heels as much as possible. If you are lucky, you will get a nice nurse but there is a good chance they will give you another issue while treating your primary ailment. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH MAYBE DYING) I went in for choking/being unable to breathe, and I was in the waiting room for OVER an hour. It seriously felt like they were just waiting for me to be actively dying on the floor to help me. It’s not the staffs fault but they were ridiculously understaffed, and they apparently didn’t even have the right doctor to help look in my throat.
