Avoid at all costs. They do not answer their phones, and even if you show up to an empty waiting room, they will claim they are at capacity and turn you away. This has happened twice now. Totally unreliable for pediatric care. Go to the emergency room downtown or a different clinic instead.
An hour before closing and not a single patient in the waiting area , they say that they’re at capacity and not taking any more patients. This has happened before. They’re so busy that when you approach the staff , they’re flipping through their phones instead of assisting patients. No concern for kids. They just want to make sure they get to leave on time. Disappointing!!
My daughter has been here a few times for immediate care. Staff has always been great only once were we there for a few hours and they actually were really busy. I appreciate that Lurie offers this outside of doctor hours and more convenient than having to go to the ER not sure why they have so many negative comments but as always THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!
Only coming back here if it’s the last resort. Both our children have been coming here for walk-in’s for the last 4 years because Lurie’s evening hours are very convenient for working parents. I’ve been told on multiple occasions that as long as you arrive before 10 pm, your child will be seen. Today we arrived at 9:45 with no other child in the waiting area, so we would have been next.
