An hour before closing and not a single patient in the waiting area , they say that they’re at capacity and not taking any more patients. This has happened before. They’re so busy that when you approach the staff , they’re flipping through their phones instead of assisting patients. No concern for kids. They just want to make sure they get to leave on time. Disappointing!!
My daughter has been here a few times for immediate care. Staff has always been great only once were we there for a few hours and they actually were really busy. I appreciate that Lurie offers this outside of doctor hours and more convenient than having to go to the ER not sure why they have so many negative comments but as always THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!
Only coming back here if it’s the last resort. Both our children have been coming here for walk-in’s for the last 4 years because Lurie’s evening hours are very convenient for working parents. I’ve been told on multiple occasions that as long as you arrive before 10 pm, your child will be seen. Today we arrived at 9:45 with no other child in the waiting area, so we would have been next. Not sure what the point is of this immediate/ urgent care when the doctors put a cap on the number of walk in patients they see for the day. Went on a Sunday at 4pm, no one in waiting room, they close at 6 and the doctors weren’t seeing walk ins for the rest of the day. Said I should take my 21 month old to the ER instead. Will NOT be going back! How terrible. Do better Lurie’s!
