Dr. Stroink and her team saved my life in 2001 after I had a horrific 1 car mva. I had broke my C4 completely in half and crushed my C5 like "an eggshell", as Dr. Stroink said. I was asked, "are you able to do anything you enjoy?". I said, "no-" And the response (interruption) was "yeah, you're just depressed! I'm going to tell your GP to just put you on antidepressants" while she was looking at an MRI from years ago (I had diagnosed degenerative disc disease). I don't know if she just simply didn't think my pain was real, or if my prior GP sent my referral saying I was probably just depressed because she always assumed everything was my mental.
