I went to visit Ann back to early of 2000 and the therapy impacted me until today. Now I see the victory from my hard work with Ann. Back then I was confused, anxious and brittle. Ann taught me how to care about myself and turn off the negative thoughts. Instead, she told me to turn on the positive thoughts by saying good things. In my first appointment with Dr Murakami, she recommended I read a book. It was a good book, but being a full-time student and having a full time job at the same time, I had only read about 1-2 chapters by the second session. But because I hadn't finished the book immediately, she had nothing to say to me! Also, she would drink iced coffee during our sessions and slurp on the straw when I was talking. It was like out of a 90's SNL skit.
