From the time we were seated it took an hour to get our food. They brought the bacon and sausage for 2 of the meals out way before the rest of the food. Very dissatisfied.
If I ask my kids where they want to eat, their first choice is always Ankeny Diner. There is a great variety on the menu, even when you are looking for healthy options, you have several options to choose from, and everything is reasonably priced. The kids get a sundae for dessert on the kids menu. I have liked everything I've tried there so far. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
Usually good...but, be careful! Go early.
