Most authentic enchilada sauce in the DC area, but it's all on the outside, so the meat is dry and lacking in flavor.
Excellent, good size, casual local Mexican restaurant with a nice bar area too. Parking is very easy. Staff is super friendly, fast service with warm chips and salsa. Or order arrived quickly, everything was exactly as ordered with very generous portions. We visited last year and will gladly visit again next year on our way thru the DC area.
Anita’s did not disappoint! Chicken quesadilla = cheesy perfection. Ham burrito meal = straight-up comfort in a tortilla. Big portions & big flavor…
Definitely New Mexican style food. Loved it.
