I called to schedule an appointment with the OB-GYN because I’m experiencing pain and needed help. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was very rude and dismissive. I understand that healthcare staff can be busy, but patients should still be treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. If someone is busy, they can simply say, “I’m busy right now, but I will help you as soon as I can,” instead of making a patient feel unwelcome or like they are a burden. I had such a great experience with Dr. Sikand. She delivered my son, and I felt supported every step of the way. She is very patient and kind. She always took time to answer all my questions. I never felt rushed or ignored. She made sure I understood everything and felt comfortable. She has a very calm and reassuring way about her. I also really appreciate that she delivers all of her own babies. That gave me so much peace of mind. I am very grateful for her care and would highly recommend her to anyone.
I usually don’t leave bad reviews but as a new patient I showed up on time and didn’t get seen until an hour after I arrived. She was not busy, just chatting with another patient. Another lady arrived for her appt and only then did she come out without addressing the delay. That patient she was familiar with was seen very quickly because my ‘general checkup’ lasted about 10 mins in total so she could attend to the other lady. There was no regard for my time.
