Dr. Cook and his entire staff were incredible. From the front desk staff welcoming me to the techs greeting my dog with enthusiasm, to the expert knowledge and calm demeanor of Dr. Cook, I felt very comfortable on my first visit to the clinic. Everyone was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and Dr. Cook explained my dog's situation well and what options I can consider for her care.
Our healthy cat would be dead if we listened to this vet. (update- my cat is now 19 and still doing great. We were advised to put her down 3 whole years ago… this vet sold us food that was marketed to heal her kidney failure when it actually made it worse which is terrifying.) This is a seemingly good vet… we’ve taken our 3 cats here for 12 years! We have gone to AMC for a few years but I am frustrated by my latest experience going here for my dog. We spent $800 trying to figure out what was wrong with my dog and all it came down to was allergies. I feel like unnecessary expensive testing was recommended to us first (X-rays, a $350 blasto test) before exploring cheaper options first. I do feel like they care about animals here, but not about what it will cost for the owners. We won’t be going back.
We have brought our pets to AMC of STC for over 20 years. The Doctors and staff are EXTREMELY kind and so knowledgeable. We drive across town to bring our pets here even passing 3 other vets because AMC of STC makes you feel like family while they take care of our pets!
I have trusted my dogs care here for over 30-years. Happy and healthy boys.
