DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! I brought my dog here with a paw injury. They told me absolutely nothing, Never sent me the summary for the visit I had to make an in person visit twice for them to finally send it. I never received the results of the so called bloodwork they did or the urine and stool sample either. Yet they charged me $400 for my visit. They care nothing about your pet will never follow up with you they are only out to get your money.
Love the staff here! Especially Dr. Salmond she was so thorough and transparent with great energy. Gave a lot of detail and information abt my pet and the pricing here is not excessive. Highly recommend if you are looking for a vet in the Watkins park area.
We love this vet!! They are so gentle and compassionate with anxious dogs. My girl dog hates having her nails trimmed and used to shriek and flail when getting shots at other places. The techs and vets would get down on the floor with the dogs, talk to them kindly, distract them with fun treats, hold them gently but firmly. If it wasn't working they didn't try to push it, but backed off and decided we would try another way; they didn't try to force it just to get it done. I am extremely grateful for this location and its outstanding staff. I especially want to recognize Cindy, who has gone above and beyond in helping me navigate some very complex insurance issues. Despite the challenges—some taking nearly an hour to resolve—she has consistently demonstrated exceptional patience and professionalism to ensure everything is handled correctly. Our 4-year old Labradoodle (Mars) received his first teeth cleaning today and it was Superb! The entire team at the Animal Medical Center of Watkins Park are Awesome!!! Very thoughtful, caring, professional and compassionate!!!! My family and I are extremely pleased with the care provided for Mars!!! Absolutely phenomenal service and care!!!! The best medical center for pets in the DMV!!!!
