Animal House Pet Shop is a very good store. I love Animal House. It amazes me when people think that they buy from puppy mills when there are signs clearly stating "We do not buy from or support puppy mills" Yes, cages are dirty sometimes, but that's to be expected. They are animals and they cannot be spotless 24/7. They get cleaned on a regular schedule and always have food and water. It's a decently sized store and it takes a lot of work to keep everything in tip top shape. I would like to see the people giving bad reviews... read more
Animal House Pet Shop is NO GOOD The sign "Animal House does Not Buy from or Support Puppy Mills" Is a lie to just get your money.... Many of the puppies DO come from buyers who HAVE purchased these puppies from Mills, and they also purchase from some very sketchy local people, and not always in the best of health.
Worst expirience ever!!!!! I bought a puppy from them.It had several health problems and Steve the mngr could careless . He just wants his pocket padded. I asked if the puppies were local and he stated they were but come to find out they were not. SHAME ON THE ANIMAL HOUSE!!!!Won't give them another nickel. If you want a puppy go to a breeder. Your pup will at least come with a health guarantee and will cost a few hundred less.
BEST STORE EVER!!! I Worked at Animal house for 2 years before leaving for the Air Force, Before leaving I might as well have got a degree in animal care and knowledge on all areas of house pets. from mice to dogs, trantulas to the extensive set up and care in a salt water aquarium, i knew it all and the owner wouldn't have had it any other way. its a great place to work and an even better place to buy pet supply.
AMAZING STORE!!! They have well trained staff and as most of you said, the friendliest. They have a great selection of animals and animal products and for the people with negative reviews, I don't know what they're talking about. Bunnies and rodents are kept that way at every pet store, that's the way it is. They get fed, watered and handled everyday as well as cleaned. I think they do EXTREMELY well. =]
SO SO we like to visit this store when grocery shopping. It's fun to see the dogs and cats. The decor is pretty ho hum, but the staff is knowledgeable about most things. They will test your aquarium water for free.
buy my dog food here We've bought a few fish from this place but really, I just go there to buy my dog food. With two large breed dogs, we buy the 40# bags each month. I like it here because they have the buy 10, get a free bag of equal value program (even for the 40# bags). they always ask to help carry out the bag too.
I won't go here again The staff was friendly, and there were lots of staff around to help if you needed it, but I was really kind of shocked at the treatment of the animals in the store. I had gone in for some cat food without realizing they sold puppies and kittens. (I don't support the sale of puppy mill/backyard bred animals. This is my personal choice. Do as you will.) Great store! Healthy Animals and nice staff! This was a great store! I was greeted right away with a cheery "hello".( Unlike some other pet stores where you are ignored or avoided.) The decor was rather plain, but the array of animals was great! The staff was super friendly ,knowledgeable, and very helpful. All their animals were well cared for and healthy! I even ended up buying a puppy!!!! They have a nice selection of products ranging from small animals, fish and reptiles, and lots of dog and cat supplies.
