Good breeders don't sell to pet stores! Im sorry, but reputable dog breeders DO NOT SELL TO PET STORES. Reputable dog breeders love the animals they produce and do not simply hand them over to any schmuck who gives him enough cash, nor will they allow them to be caged in a tiny kennel all day on bare wire with little/no toys or stimulation, especially such a critical stage in their life. Animal House Pet Shop is great, dont listen to bad reviews Honestly, I find the poor reviews for this pet shop very ignorant and without any real grounds. I have myself gone to this pet store since its opening. I have always found the service very knowledgeable and friendly. There is a very large selection, especially for a small store, and I do not believe that they buy puppies from puppy mills, in fact they are very proud that their puppies are from safe local sources. i have purchased a Basset hound puppy from this store ... read more
Employee Comment!! I Have worked at the milwaukie Animal house for going on 3/4 years now. WE DO NOT buy from puppy mills! The owner knows most of the breeders personally. I even know some of them. And we take them out all the time to play with them and to be socialized. And all dogs sometime in there life get a cold or sick.. Life happens, everyone gets sick once in awhile. I don't understand how you people say that animals are mistreated here! i bought a ferret name Cinnamon(kept the same name they had for her) 2 years ago and she is perfectly healthy! Was in there today looking for a puppy for me and my son and plan on going back tomorrow and purchasing the pair! Nice shop We always go into "visit" the animals the staff is very friendly and easy going. Prices are just OK however and it is a small store. The fish selection is big.
BAD !!!! ok let me start out by saying that i have never been there before but i will not be going back this place was not doing things right they had male and female rabbits to gether and they had to many in one cage ! the male buinnys were chsing this one female rabbit around for like ten mins. when my mom got tired of watching it she told me to go tell some one what was happing but when i told one of the s that worked there all she said was " ya, that happens sometimes" and then walked away, i counld not belive it.They ar... read more
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love animal house! i get all my fish here unless they don't have what I'm looking for,but that's rare. I just started a salt water tank and this place has been there for me every step! Animal House has descent prices, good selection, and even better help. I usually only deal with the 3 fish guys who are super smart about fish, but every one i've dealt with are way nice.
Animal House Pet Shop is Top Notch! I have been going to this store for years now, and have never seen the conditions that others speak of. I have bought rabbit supplies & food as well as dog food. Even feeder fish for my turtle. They are always helpful and the store is as clean as a pet store can be without using harsh chemicals. I have never seen 4 puppies in a cage before, I just don't believe that. (I will say that I have never bought an animal from here, because I like to rescue pets.
