My dog came from the shelter and has serious fear of people. They took to him right away at AHD. One of the techs knew him from her own volunteering at the shelter and was so happy to see him in a home. Then, sadly, I had to bring him in with a broken foot. For 6 weeks, we were in there once or twice a week. They were so gentle and understanding with him--and with me!
