Clover had her first visit to get her nails trimmed this week.... understanding she had a bad nail cutting experience elsewhere, the staff was calm, patient and made us both feel comfortable. We found our new vet !

All of the staff at Animal Health Clinic are awesome! They have taken care of our dogs for years, including giving them special attention during boarding. They were also very caring and helpful during our dog, Fish’s last days. We are lucky to have such amazing vets in Yankton.
They took good care of our dog when she was spayed. However we specifically told them not to give her a particular vaccine as our usual local vet would be taking care of her vaccinations. They gave it to her anyway and charged us for it. They also were very pushy about doing blood tests. We love our dog but she's a farm dog. We simply wanted her spayed and that was all. $300 and an overnight stay later we brought her home. Many of our friends and relatives have their dogs spayed for half the price and no overnight. Knowledgeable and friendly staff that provides excellent care at reasonable rates!
I drove half an hour to get my two dogs and was rudely told to leave and to stop knocking on the door that had just been locked and i was rudely told to "go run an errand or something" because a bitchy lady was on lunch break and had the place arleady locked up a minute before 12:00 closing time. Then she said i was lucky she didnt call the cops on me for knocking on the front door. Your customer service is pathetic, awful, and over priced. Youre never getting my business again. When I lived in Yankton, Dr. Franklin saved my Lhasa from chronic steroid use (prescribed by another vet for some time) by recommending a new procedure at Iowa State School of Veterinary Medicine. We sent a vial of my dog's blood to ISU where they tested and created a custom serum that stopped her itching and saved her from prolonged steroid use.
An amazing clinic, they took my dog in on emergency surgery and SAVED HER LIFE. What a blessing to have such care in Yankton. We have moved away but will never forget what was done for my Scrappy.
