It's never a good place to be when you have to rush your dog to the ER but the entire staff @ Animal ER of NW Houston was amazing and comforting through the entire process! I'd highly recommend them if you ever need ER care for one of your animals!
We took our dog, Nova in after she ate rat poison. They acted very quickly and kindly. She was kept overnight after administering 2 different kinds of meds to induce vomiting. After speaking with the toxicologist from animal poison control, they decided it was best to keep her and flush with fluids and monitor her for 24 hours. They stayed in contact with updates and photos the whole time. Comforting to know and see she was getting the best of care.
I took my dog in for a medical emergency and was very impressed with everyone at this animal ER. From the front desk (friendly and helpful) to the doctor and techs - they were all professional, very knowledgeable and friendly! They diagnosed the issue quickly and kept me informed while working on my dog. Would recommend this place to everyone!
I brought my dog here on Sunday after he got attacked by another dog with open wounds. We came and some tech just looked at my dog and told us to wait in the room. We waited for 3 hrs. Rang the bell that we needed help and they just took our dog to the back and put him in a crate. We kept waiting and decided to get our dog and go elsewhere since there was no communication with a vet or treatment administered. This is supposed to be an ER. If you love your pet, DON'T bring them here. I wish someone had warned me. Same song and dance with these people. Always want your money for testing only to come back and say they don't really know what's going on with your pet. Someone has to look into this practice and shut them down. They don't know what they're doing.
