Took my girl Bear this evening after a trip to the beach gone wrong, she was limping quite badly. With her helathy pets plus membership, I can access an emergency vet after hours for a co supt at no cost, so it was fantastic to be able to take her and get peace of mind. It turned out to be a sprained toe, after a shot to cover for inflammation, she was good to go home! Staff were absolutely lovely, and the vet was patient with all my 15,000 questions, and wonderful with Bear.
Just wanted to say my thankyou to the team at AEC, I was recommended by my normal emergency centre Roseworthy hospital (connected to Gawler animal hospital). The staff here, although they had multiple emergencies, were calm, understanding, welcoming and so gentle. The vet on call, I unfortunately didn’t get her name was amazing and took her time to talk through my situation with me. Yes they are expensive but provide a great service. The staff are great and caring. The photo added shows our Alfie after his liquid charcoal added to his food.
All the vets are very, very competent, but Dr Zandri Whitehead has to be the most professional and competent medical consultant I have ever met, regardless of animal or human. The way she dealt with our gorgeous cat Petra yesterday, and explained everything to us in meticulous detail, (even with drawings), but in a systematic, logical and understandable manner was marvellous! We have never felt so well informed about Petra's condition, and are truly reassured her care is in the best hands. Thank you Zandri! Don and Kris
