This past Tuesday June 4th I had to put my beloved pet cat, Charlie to sleep. I had seen Dr. Howard, Dr. Fischer and Dr. Tedrow. I was comforted in making this extremely difficult decision. I appreciate everyone of the employees at the Animal Clinic. When I comes a time that I find a different beloved I will be back for the services at Animal Clinic of Pierre.
Shout out to Pierre Animal Clinic, Dr. Fischer. Last week my dog, who had been seemingly healthy prior, contracted a virus or bacteria and was lethargic, unable to keep fluids down, and a whole list of other symptoms. I called on a Friday afternoon when they were completely booked with appointments but they were able to examine her between appointments and determine she needed to stay overnight. Our dog Shadow got sick late in the afternoon the day before the 4th of July. They were booked but had me drop her off and promised Dr. Tedrow would look at her as soon as she was available. They were true to their word and treated Shadow for heat exhaustion and got her back to us after office hours, with the staff staying late to make sure we were taken care of. Dr. Howard and everyone at the clinic were absolutely wonderful last week when we had to put our Maggy May to sleep. Such a terrible situation to find yourself in, but they helped make it bearable. Dr. Howard came in on a Sunday to check her out when we noticed things weren't right. He never complained or made it seem like an imposition. He was so compassionate, but also didn't sugar coat anything. His "bedside manner" was outstanding.
