My story is too long to type, but after 2 ER visits, 5 internal medicine visits and still no answers... I was finally referred to Dr. Schmeitzel. After 4 long stressful months, I finally felt we were so much closer to an answer. My dog is healing and I finally think we are going to have the happiest, healthiest year yet! We have only had our beloved rescue, Gus, for 16 months, but I won’t stop until he’s 100%. He deserves nothing but happiness, health and love! Thank you for everything Dr. Schmeitzel!

If I could give 0 stars I would. My dog was hit by a car, no broken bones, just possible kidney damage and lacerations, but just to give her fluids, do an ultra sound, take some blood work, and keep her warm was 1300$ (this was for 7hrs of care). I promptly picked her up the next morning and took her to a critical care vet who charged me 360$ to keep her stable, monitor her do blood work, and give her fluids. I took her home last night around 8p when they closed and was gonna bring her back in the AM, but she started panting... read more

YOU COULD NOT POSSIBLY TAKE YOUR ANIMAL ANYWHERE AND HOPE TO GET BETTER CARE. DR SCHMEITZEL AND HER STAFF ARE AMAZING. THERE IS NO WAY MY PERSONAL DOCTORS COULD BE AS GOOD. IF YOU COULD GIVE MORE THAN A FIVE STAR RATING I WOULD.

We were at the end of our ropes, because our dear 3-1/2 year old Chocolate Lab was spiraling downhill with the infections from his skin disorder. We had tried everything that our Vet had prescribed to no avail. He almost couldn't walk from the painful infected feet, and the badly infected patches on his tummy were getting larger. We were given hope from Dr. Schmeitzel, and a plan to treat him, and he's beginning to improve! Thanks so much! We will continue to work to get him better.
