I had a brief office consult with Dr Duong prior to a routine colonoscopy. He asked the routine and necessary questions and was affable and attentive to my particular history. The procedure was done at Mirage Endoscopy Center. At the time of the procedure I added an additional comment about my particular history, and he listened carefully and thanked me for the additional information; noting that it was useful, but would not affect the procedure or the likely outcome. Dr. Duong is very through, highly experienced, and empathetic. By the time I got into my appointment, it was clear he had already read my records in depth and was knowledgeable with my case. We talked for quite a while; he explained things very well, answered all questions I had, and we came up with a plan for my health issues. I am very impressed with his bed side manor and feel lucky to have him as my Gastroenterologist.His Staff is professional and courteous as well.
I’m 52 and been suffering with extreme IBS, dairy intolerance most of my life without care. My grandpa also passed from colon cancer. Dr. Duong offered me testing and treatments that no one else had. I now am gluten free, follow the fodmap, along with NO DAIRY, a routine cleanse, and I know what my trigger foods are. Despite billing over $7,000 for various tests, he is still unable to diagnose my stomach cramps and gas. At my last visit, he offered nothing in the way of remedies for my problem. Wants me to come back in 6 weeks. For what? So he can bill for another worthless get-together. Then there is his office staff. Not only are they unfriendly, they don't answer the phone. I went to Dr. Duoung to have a simple, common procedure that I've had in the past, which I fully explained to the staff when making the appointment. When I got there, we went to his office, where we went over my background and what treatment I was looking for. Instead of going into the exam room for an exam, or to complete the simple procedure, he said I'd have to make another appointment. 3 months later I got a call asking that our appointment be teleconference. The doctor was fine However beware that they do not explain the cost of the procedures. Got a huge bill and was not happy with their rhetoric well we don't know how much something may cost until we get in there.
