I would not send my pet rock here! Where do I start?! Upon entry there was poop handprint on the wall. It stinks inside and I will say after a few weeks of regular scheduled visits it started to smell better. They don't have proper PPE for standard precautions. The hand sanitizer devices on the walls were ALL broken and there were no hand sanitizer bottles to be found. They use kitchen gloves instead of regular exam gloves. Facility is very dirty, Palma Ceia all beds are almost on the floors. Residents sleep on box spring and mattress. There are roaches there with rats. The elevator is broken all bed linen is piled in a closet in the hallway with stains and smells like pee. I feel so sorry for the residents there. The executive director Evan does not care at all. There's no briefs or chucks for the residents they have permanent piss stains on mattress and linen. Overall Angels at Palma Ceia I would not put my dogs in there, they deserve better ... read more

My mom was a resident at Angels for 2 years at the memory care on Bay to Bay. It is a smaller community than others we had looked at but I have to say that made a big difference in her care. My mom’s memory was not very good and the smaller environment was what she needed. She was able to still be independent while she could be and we knew she was safe because the door was code protected. Residents were NEVER taken outside, in fact the doorway was blocked by a sofa. NEVER any fresh food. Everything was canned and premade. At one point the kitchen was closed down because of the rats. NO activities. Once a month someone came in to sing, and something on holidays, but other than that the best to offer was to sit and watch a movie. MANY times there was only ONE person working with 30 residents. Only the 6 am to 2 pm shift had adequate staff. VERY unsafe. When I brought a brand new TV and wall mount, it was months... read more
